The house is a three storey, traditional, Andalusian home which has been lovingly restored and is very spacious within - total 95 sq metres. It is to be sold complete with furniture. The ground floor comprises of a delightful sitting room with a wood burning stove, large dining area and well equipped kitchen, ground floor bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and a shower/wc room.
On the first floor is another bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and another shower/wc room. The landing has a large original olive oil storage pot which is now used to hold firewood.
Stairs lead to the third floor which could be used as a bedroom but is currently used as a linen room with clothes dryer, iron and board. Bedding is stored in the chest of drawers.
Another staircase leads to the terrace from which there are stunning views of mountains and roof tops. The terrace has table and chairs and parasol.
There is storage space off the main room and also in the first floor bathroom.
The property is in the heart of Canillas de Aceituno. The picturesque village is small enough to have retained a delightful Spanish charm and it has a number of bars, restaurants and shops as well as a small market on Fridays.
Situated on the edge of the National Park and at the foot of Mt. Maroma it is an ideal place for walking or exploring the back roads of Andalusia.
During July and August the public swimming pool and bar is open and the beaches along the coast are a short drive away.
There is no parking outside the house although you can park to unload. Car parking is available at each end of the village a few minutes walk away.
Canillas de Aceituno is an ideal centre for walking, bird watching, painting and photography. There are many splendid walks in this area of outstanding beauty. For those who don’t want to walk there are several driving routes to follow which incorporate some dramatic scenery such as El Torcal and El Chorro or the Sierra Nevada. It is also well suited for visiting other towns and cities too such as Granada, Seville, and Cordoba.
