is ideal for families or groups of friends and is just across the road from the restaurant and bar. Large groups can be accomodated by renting neighbouring chalets.

Bulgaria is the cheapest holiday destination in Europe. Ski and snowboard tuition
are excellent and inexpensive. The resort of Pamporovo is one of the best in the
world for beginners and children. Intermediates are well catered for although
advanced skiiers may find it a bit limited with only 2 black runs.
Resort altitude is 1650M and the peak at Snejanka is 1926M. Temperatures
average a pleasant -3C. Average snowfall is 1.5M and there is virtually no risk of
avalanche.
The summer climate July through September is fantastic - dry,plenty of sunshine
and hardly any cloudy days. Temperatures average 21C to 26C. In summer you can go horse riding,mountain biking, hiking, walking. There is also quad biking,
canoeing and extreme sports. You may be able to go on a jeep safari. The
chair lifts run in the summer.
In autumn you can go hunting.
There are many scenic places and places of interest to visit nearby such as the
Smolyan Lakes, Devin Spa, Trigrad Gorge, Yagodina and Devil's Throat Caves, the Wonderful Bridges and Bachkovo Monastery. Plovdiv has a well preserved Roman Amphitheatre still in use today, and a delightful nineteenth century old town.
Pamporovo is for the future. Snow cannons have been installed for "guaranteed snow" for 2010. The local municipality and corresponding ministry have approved
plans for the development of extra ski facilities at the Perelik peak - the highest
peak, for longer lasting snow. We are conveniently situated. There are also ski
facilities at Mechi Chai, Chepelare, with plenty of red runs. The plan is to link all
three areas together into one big resort.
